Rosamund Pike

In 1979, in London, England, actress Rosamund Mary Elizabeth Pike is the sole child of a classical violinist mom, Caroline (Friend), and a opera singer father, Julian Pike. Both parents were extremely hard-working and she travelled extensively throughout Europe during her childhood. Pike attended Bristol's Badminton School and started acting at the National Youth Theatre. Pike first appeared in a National Youth Theatre production "Romeo and Juliet". She was signed by an agent following being noticed. Pike also began acting at the National Youth Theatre. The film that she made her debut was a large-budget action movie. But, her subsequent film work was mostly independent films like Promised Land (2004) and The Libertine (2004). She was also awarded the Best Supporting Actress prize at The British Independent Film Awards. Pride & Prejudice (2005) featured Pike as one of the Bennet girls. Following a brief appearance in Hollywood, Doom (2005) and Fracture (2006), she returned to film, delivering outstanding performances in three lesser films. She also appeared in Johnny English Reborn (2011) and in the sci-fi film Wrath of the Titans (2012). She was back in action films featuring a female lead with Tom Cruise in Jack Reacher (2012).
