Milena Govich

Milena Govich, a writer as well as an actor and musician has directed numerous episodes on TV such as Chicago Med (2015), The Equalizer (2021), FBI The Most Wanted(2020), Chicago Fire (2012) as well as other. She was also the Co-EP/Producing Director on Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI (2018). She is currently working on two pilots in the process of development. Milena was one of eight women chosen by AFI for their famous Directing Workshop for Women. She also took part in the Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors program. Unspeakable is her short film as well as a television show proof of concept, was shown at SXSW. It also took home Best Episodic Award at the Seattle International Film Festival, and Best Pilot at the SoHo International Film Festival. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) was her debut on CBS. Then she became the first and only female detective on Law & Order (1990). K-Ville (2007), The Defenders (2010) (CBS), Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family) and Lori Stevens in the MTV drama Finding Carter (2014) have all featured her or had her in. Milena was also seen in a variety of films, like Sordid Things (2008); A Novel Romance (2011) with Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) and #Lucky Number (2015). She was also in the film with Method Man. Milena is a native of Norman, Oklahoma was the valedictorian at her high school before she graduated with two major vocal performances and a premedical degree at the University of Central Oklahoma. She was also valedictorian of her high school. She benefited from her classical ballet training shortly after to stage her Broadway debut in the Rob Marshall/Sam Mendes production "Cabaret" at Studio 54.
